Alexander Graham Bell (March 3, 1847 – August 2, 1922)

Scientist, innovator, and inventor Alexander Graham Bell was not
only known for patenting the first practical telephone, but he also
had groundbreaking work in optical telecommunications, hydrofoils,
and aeronautics and served as the second president of the National
Geographic Society.

First issue of Time magazine on this day in 1923.

Daniel Wroughton Craig was born in England.

Actor Daniel Craig was nominated for a BAFTA Award for his
debut as James Bond in Casino Royale in 2006. He then went
on to portray Bond in three more films: Quantum of Solace (2008)
Skyfall (2012) and Spectre (2015). Craig also starred in the film
Cowboys & Aliens (2012) alongside the legendary actor Harrison
Ford.

Harry Belafonte (Harold George Bellanfanti, Jr.) was born in
Harlem, New York.

Singer Harry Belafonte is known as the King of Calypso. He popularized the
calypso genre and famously sang "The Banana Boat Song."

He joined the Navy during World War II. After he was discharged, he worked
as a janitor in New York City. His boss gave him tickets to the American Negro
Theatre, which got him interested in performing.
