Anthony Wilford Brimley (September 27, 1934 – August 1, 2020)
(AP) – Wilford Brimley, who worked his way up from movie stunt rider to
an indelible character actor who brought gruff charm, and sometimes
menace, to a range of films that included “Cocoon” (1985)“The Natural”
(1984) and “The Firm” (1993) has died.
Brimley’s manager Lynda Bensky said the actor died Saturday morning
in a Utah hospital. She said he was on dialysis and had several medical
ailments.

Robert North Bradbury and the former Nieta Quinn. He had
a twin brother, Bill, also an actor. After years of touring, the
family settled in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California.

Comedian, actor, director, screenwriter, and publisher Carl Reiner’s career
spanned seven decades. During the early years of television comedy from
1950 to 1957, he co-wrote and acted on Caesar’s Hour and Your Show of
Shows, starring Sid Caesar. In the 1960s, Reiner was best known as the
creator, producer, writer, and actor on The Dick Van Dyke Show.
