On February 7, 1964, Pan Am Yankee Clipper flight 101 from London Heathrow landed at New York’s Kennedy Airport—and “Beatlemania” arrives. It was the first visit to the United States by the Beatles, a British rock-and-roll quartet that had just scored its first No. 1 U.S. hit six days before with “I Want to Hold Your Hand.” At Kennedy, the “Fab Four”—dressed in mod suits and sporting their trademark pudding bowl haircuts—were greeted by 3,000 screaming fans who caused a near riot when the boys stepped off their plane and onto American soil.

Joseph Rudyard Kipling (December 30, 1865 – January 18, 1936)
Kipling was an English journalist, short-story writer, poet, and novelist. He was born in India, which inspired much of his work. Kipling’s works of fiction include The Jungle Book, Kim, and many short stories, including "The Man Who Would Be King".

On this day in 1777, The Battle of Princeton took place in the War of Independence, in which George Washington defeated the British forces, led by Cornwallis in Princeton, New Jersey. General Lord Cornwallis had left 1,400 British troops under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Charles Mawhood .

John Donald Imus Jr.(July 23, 1940 – December 27, 2019)
Don Imus was a radio personality, television show host, recording artist, and author. He was known for his radio show Imus in the Morning which aired on various stations and digital platforms nationwide until his retirement in March of 2018.
In March 2009, Imus was diagnosed with stage 2 prostate cancer. He was hospitalized at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in College Station, Texas, on December 24, 2019. The exact cause of his death was not immediately reported.
