REMEMBERING ~ HENRY FORD
(July 30, 1863 – April 7, 1947)
Henry Ford was a prominent American industrialist, the founder of the Ford
Motor Company, and is credited with the development of the assembly line
technique of mass production. His introduction of the Model T automobile
(below) revolutionized transportation and American industry. As owner of
the Ford Motor Company, he became one of the richest and best-known
people in the world.

OSCAR MAYER’S WIENERMOBILE IS 75 TODAY
The "Wienermobile" is a automobile shaped like a hot dog that is used to advertise
Oscar Mayer products. I was created in 1936 by Oscar’s nephew, Carl G. Mayer. The
first model of the “Wienermobile”(top pic) rolled out of General Body Company’s factory
in Chicago, Illinois on July 18, 1936. The cost of the promotional vehicle was $5000. The drivers of the “Wienermobile” are known as Hotdoggers and are still on the road today.
