Will Vinton(November 17, 1947 – October 4, 2018)
(Portland, Oregon) – Will Vinton, the creator of the beloved Claymation characters of the 1980s, like the California Raisins and the Domino’s Pizza Noid, has died. His family announced his death in a Facebook post Thursday afternoon. They said he battled multiple myeloma, a cancer in white blood cells, for 12 years. Vinton won an Oscar for his work and several Emmy Awards and Clio Awards for his studio’swork.

Marvin Neil Simon(July 4, 1927 – August 26, 2018)
NEW YORK (AP) — Playwright Neil Simon, a master of comedy whose laugh-filled hits such as "The Odd Couple," ”Barefoot in the Park" and his "Brighton Beach" trilogy dominated Broadway for decades, has died.
A longtime friend said Simon died early Sunday of complications from pneumonia surrounded by family at New York Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan.
James Edward Burton was born in Dubberly, Louisiana.
Since the 1950s, Burton has recorded and performed with an array of notable singers, including Elvis Presley, Ricky Nelson, Johnny Cash, The Everly Brothers, Merle Haggard, Jerry Lee Lewis, Glen Campbell, Roy Orbison, Vince Gill and the list goes on.
Critic Mark Demming writes that "Burton has a well-deserved reputation as one of the finest guitar pickers in either country or rock, Burton is one of the best guitar players to ever touch a fretboard."
