At his small wilderness cabin near Lincoln, Montana (above),
Theodore John Kaczynski was arrested by FBI agents and
accused of being the Unabomber, the elusive terrorist blamed
for 16 mail bombs that killed three people and injured 23 during
an 18-year period.

At 12:23 a.m. on June 10, 2023, Kaczynski was
found in his cell unresponsive with no pulse
after hanging himself with a shoelace from a
handicap rail.

At 12:18 p.m., a terrorist bomb exploded in a parking garage of
the World Trade Center in New York City, leaving a massive,
multi-story crater and causing the collapse of several steel-
reinforced concrete floors in the vicinity of the blast.

Although the terrorist bomb failed to critically damage the main
structure of the skyscrapers, six people were killed and more
than 1,000 were injured, many severe.

The World Trade Center itself suffered more than $500 million in
damage. After the attack, authorities evacuated 50,000 people
from the buildings, hundreds of whom were suffering from
smoke inhalation. The evacuation lasted the whole afternoon.

Jennings was a singer, songwriter, musician, and actor. He
is considered one of the pioneers of the outlaw movement
in country music.

On February 13, 2002, Jennings died in his sleep from
complications of diabetes at his home in Chandler,
Arizona, aged 64.

Jennings worked as a performer and DJ on radio KLLL in
1958.
