Comedian and actor Carl Reiner has died aged 98

Comedian, actor, director, screenwriter, and publisher Carl Reiner’s career
spanned seven decades. During the early years of television comedy from
1950 to 1957, he co-wrote and acted on Caesar’s Hour and Your Show of
Shows
, starring
Sid Caesar. In the 1960s, Reiner was best known as the
creator, producer, writer, and actor on The Dick Van Dyke Show.

Jerry Stiller, comedian and 'Seinfeld' actor, dies at 92 - ABC News
Jerry Steller (Gerald Isaac Stiller) (June 8, 1927 – May 11, 2020)


Comedian, actor, and author Jerry Steller spent many years as part of the
comedy duo Stiller and Meara along with his wife, Anne Meara, whom he
was married to for over 60 years, until her death in 2015. In recent years
Jerry Steller was best known for his roles on “Seinfeld”(NBC) and “The
King of Queens” (CBS). His son comedian Ben Steller announced
via Twitter Monday his father died of natural causes.

Time For Beany is a children’s television series, with puppets for characters,
which was broadcast locally in Los Angeles starting on February 28, 1949
and nationally (by
kinescope) by the improvised Paramount Television
Network
from 1950 to 1955. It was created by animator Bob Clampett,
who later reused its main characters for the animated series Beany and
Cecil
. The show won three
Primetime Emmy Awards for best children’s
show.

On April 16, 1889, future Hollywood legend Charlie Chaplin
was born Charles Spencer Chaplin in London, England.

Chaplin, one of the most financially successful stars of
early Hollywood, was introduced to the stage when he
was five. The son of London music hall entertainers,
young Chaplin was watching a show starring his mother
when her voice cracked. He was quickly shuffled onto the
stage to finish the act.
