Engelbert Humperdinck (born Arnold George Dorsey)
Humperdinck is best known for his songs "Release Me" and “The Last
Waltz". He is regarded by music critics to be "one of the finest middle-
of-the-road balladeers around.
He took on the name Engelbert Humperdinck after the famed German
composer (shown below).
(1 September 1854 – 27 September 1921)
Released in 1967, the record stayed in the charts for a record
fifty-six consecutive weeks.
