Actress and playwright Lisa Edelstein IS best known  for having starred, since 
2004, as Dr. Lisa Cuddy on the Fox-TV network drama House, M.D. She
announced this month that she will not return for the eighth season of the
show. Lisa has lent her voice to several animated  Fox programs including
King of the Hill and American Dad. she recently won the Peoples Choice
Award’s Best Drama Actress in a TV series for her portrayal in House.

ACTRESS ZSA ZSA GABOR IN A COMA

Zsa Zsa Gabor has slipped into a coma after being rushed to an L.A. hospital
yesterday for emergency stomach surgery to repair a infection caused by a
feeding tube. Her husband, Prince Frederic von Anhalt said the 94-year-old
film star has been unresponsive since 2 a.m. this morning.

JERRY LEWIS RETIRING FROM MDA TELETHON

(AP)- After 45 years promoting treatment and a cure for children he calls
“my kids,” comedian Jerry Lewis announced Monday he is retiring as host
of the Labor Day Muscular Dystrophy Association telethon that has become
synonymous with his name. Lewis, 85, issued a statement through the
association calling it “time for an all new Telethon era.””As a labor of love,
I’ve hosted the annual Telethon since 1966 and I’ll be making my final
appearance on the show this year by performing my signature song, `You’ll
Never Walk Alone,”‘ Lewis said of a shortened six-hour primetime broadcast
scheduled for Sept. 4. Lewis, a Las Vegas resident, has in recent years
battled a debilitating back condition, heart issues and the crippling lung
disease pulmonary fibrosis. He said he’ll continue serving as national
Muscular Dystrophy Association chairman, as he’s done since the
early 1950s.

Florence Nightingale was a celebrated English nurse and writer. She came to
prominence for her pioneering work in nursing during the Crimean or Russian
War, where she tended to wounded soldiers. She was dubbed "The Lady with
the Lamp"after her habit of making rounds at night. Nightingale laid the foundation
for the nursing profession with the establishment of a school for nursing in 1860 at St Thomas Hospital in London. It was the first secular nursing school in the world. An international Nurses Day is celebrated annually around the world on her birthday. On 
August 13, 1910, at the age of 90, Florence Nightingale died peacefully in her sleep.

George Timothy Clooney  is a actor, film director, producer, and screenwriter
who has received two Golden Globe Awards and an Academy Award. He made
his acting debut as an extra in the NBC- TV miniseries Centennial in 1978. Fame
and recognition came with his portrayal of Dr. Douglas “Doug” Ross on the long-
running medical drama ER from 1994 to 1999 on NBC. Other leading roles in films included Batman & Robin (1997), Out of Sight (1998. and his biggest success in
Ocean’s Eleven in 1960. Clooney has since directed Good Night, and Good Luck 
(2005), and Leatherheads (2008). George Clooney won the 2006 Academy
Award for Best Supporting Actor for his part in the 2005 Middle East thriller
Syriana. Singer Rosemary Clooney is George Clooney’s aunt.
