The United States Air Force Academy (above) is a military academy for
officer candidates for the United States Air Force. Its campus is located immediately north of Colorado Springs in El Paso County, Colorado. The Academy is one of the largest tourist attractions in Colorado, attracting
more than a million visitors each year.

Terence Steven “Steve” McQueen
(March 24, 1930 – November 7, 1980)
McQueen received an Academy Award nomination for his role
in The Sand Pebbles (1966). His other popular films include
Bullitt (1968), and The Great Escape (1963). In 1974, he
became the highest-paid movie star in the world. Steve
McQueen competed in weekend motorcycle races to help
support himself while studying for his acting career.

BORN ON THIS DAY IN 1751
James Madison, Jr. (March 16, 1751 – June 28, 1836)
Madison is known as the “Father of the Constitution”. He was
the fourth president of the United States who notably authored
the U.S.Bill of Rights. Madison did not serve in military combat
as he was of very slight stature (5-4) and weighed only about
100 pounds.
