Eric Clapton is an English rock and blues guitarist, singer, and songwriter. He
is the only three-time inductee to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame: once as a
solo artist and separately as a member of the Yardbirds and of Cream. Clapton
has been referred to as one of the most important and influential guitarists of
all time and is ranked second in Rolling Stone magazine’s list of the "100
Greatest Guitarists of All Time" and fourth in Gibson’s "Top 50 Guitarists of
All Time". He was also named number five in Time magazine’s list of "The 10
Best Electric Guitar Players" in 2009

Maria Augusta von Trapp (January 26, 1905 – March 28, 1987) 

Baroness von Trapp, as she was also know as, was the stepmother 
and matriarch of the Trapp Family Singers and wrote the story about
the singers in 1949. It later inspired the Broadway musical The Sound
of Music (1959) and the 1965 film of the same name.

Reba Nell McEntire was born in McAlester, Oklahoma. She
is 63 years young today.

Multi-platinum singer, musician, and actress Reba McEntire
released more than three dozen #1 singles and more than a
dozen #1 albums since the 1990s, including Whoever’s in
New England. She was in the family singing group "the
Singing McEntires" as a child. Red Steagall discovered her
during her performance of the National Anthem at a Rodeo
in Oklahoma City when she was a sophomore in college.

Brown.  He dropped out of High School his freshman year to go to acting
school.

James Edmund Caan was born in The Bronx, New York.

James Caan is best known for his role as Sonny Corleone in The
Godfather (1972). Other notable film credits include Misery (1972)
and Alien Nation (1988).

ED DANAHUE

NATO launched air strikes against Yugoslavia (Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo and Vojvodina) on this day in 1999. The attacks marked the
first time in its 50-year history that NATO attacked a sovereign
country. The bombings were in response to Serbia’s refusal to
sign a peace treaty with ethnic Albanians who were seeking independence for the province of Kosovo.

On this day in 1989, the Exxon Valdez spilled 11 million gallons of
oil in Alaska’s Prince William Sound after it ran aground.

Elvis Presley was sworn in as a private in the U.S. Army on this
day in 1958.
