OLIVIA DE HAVILLAND IS 97 TODAY
Olivia is best known for her performance in Gone with the Wind (1939), and her
eight co-starring roles opposite Errol Flynn, including The Adventures of Robin
Hood (1938), Dodge City (1939), Santa Fe Trail (1940), and They Died with
Their Boots On (1941). De Havilland won the Academy Award for Best Actress
for her performances in To Each His Own (1946) and The Heiress (1949)

REMEMBERING NELSON EDDY
Nelson Ackerman Eddy (June 29, 1901 – March 6, 1967)
Eddy was a singer and actor who appeared in 19 musical films
during the 1930s and 1940s, eight of them were with Jeanette
MacDonald. He also sang in opera, on the concert stage and
radio and television. For a time he was the highest paid singer
in the country, with three stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
New Moon, 1940, based on Sigmund Romberg‘s 1927 Broadway hit,
became one of Eddy’s most popular films.
