COMEDIAN TURNED 70 TODAY
Robert Klein is a stand-up comedian, singer and actor whose first
major appearance was as host of the 1970 summer TV series Comedy
Tonight on CBS. Many of his routines were introduced on the series
and eventually released on record albums. Klein was very popular
in the 1970s with his routines on the Watergate scandal. He starred
in HBO’s first stand-up comedy special in 1975.

ZSA ZSA GABOR TURNED 96 TODAY
In 2002, the Hungarian–born supporting actress was a passenger in an auto
crash in Los Angeles, from which she became partially paralyzed and reliant
on a wheelchair for mobility.
Gabor survived strokes in 2005 and 2007 and underwent numerous surgeries.In
2010, she fractured and had successful hip replacement surgery. In 2011, her
right leg was amputated above the knee to save her life from an infection. She
was hospitalized again in 2011 for various emergencies.

Animated Classics series and was originally released by RKO Pictures,
the final Disney animated feature released through RKO before Walt
Disney’s founding of his own distribution company, Buena Vista
Distribution.

Lavonne "Pepper" Paire Davis (May 29, 1924 – February 3, 2013)
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Lavonne "Pepper" Paire-Davis, a star of the All
American Girls Professional Baseball League in the 1940s has died. Her
son, William Davis told the Associated Press she died of natural causes
in the Van Nuys section of Los Angeles on Saturday.
Paire-Davis was a model for the character played by Geena Davis in the
1992 hit "A League of Their Own," which also starred Rosie O’Donnell,
Madonna and Tom Hanks. as the team manager.
In 1944, Paire-Davis joined the league, created out of fear that World War
II would interrupt Major League Baseball, and played for 10 seasons. She
was a catcher and shortstop, and helped her teams win five championships.
