Regarded as one of the most significant drivers in NASCAR history, Earnhardt
won a total of 76 Winston Cup races over the course of his career, including
the 1998 Daytona 500. He also won seven NASCAR Winston Cup
championships, tying for the most all-time with Richard Petty.

John Joseph Travolta is 63 years old today.

After dropping out of high school, Travolta moved to New York and landed a
role in a touring company’s production of Grease. He made his film debut as
John in the 1975 television movie The Tenth Level.

Dale’s aggressive driving style earned him the nickname "The Intimidator".

Earnhardt has been inducted into numerous halls of fame, including the
inaugural class of the NASCAR Hall of Fame
in 2010

Elzie Wylie "Buddy" Baker, Jr.
(January 25, 1941 – August 10, 2015)
 

Baker was an NASCAR driver and sports commentator. He died Monday at his
home in Catawba County,  North Caroline from inoperable lung cancer.

In 1997, Baker joined his father as an inductee into the International Motorsports
Hall of
Fame
in Talladega, Alabama. He, previously, had been inducted into the Charlotte Motor Speedway Court of Legends in 1995, and into the National
Motorsports Press Association Hall of Fame in 1997. He was named one of
NASCAR’s 50 Greatest Drivers in 1998.
