On this day in 1994, Nicole Brown Simpson (left), famous football player O.J.
Simpson’s ex-wife, and her friend Ron Goldman (right) are brutally stabbed
to death outside Nicole’s home in Brentwood, California, in what quickly
becomes one of the most highly publicized trials of the century. With
overwhelming evidence against him, including a prior record of domestic
violence towards Brown, O.J. Simpson (below) became the chief suspect.

O.J. Simpson was released from prison on October 1, 2018 after
nine years behind bars for a 2007 armed robbery in Las Vegas.

Around 12:15 a.m. PDT on June 5, 1968, Sirhan Sirhan fired a .22
caliber Iver-Johnson Cadet revolver at Senator Robert Kennedy
and the crowd surrounding him in the Ambassador Hotel in Los
Angeles shortly after Kennedy had finished addressing supporters
in the hotel’s main ballroom (above).

John F. Kennedy served as the 35th president of the United States
from January 1961 until his assassination in November 1963. As a 
member of the Democratic Party, he represented Massachusetts in 
the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate prior to becoming
president.

last time on this day in 1992. He had been host for 30 years.
