Michael Edward "Mike" Love is an original member of The Beach Boys,
formerly The Pendleton’s (1958-1961), which he helped found. He still
actively writes, records, and performs with the band to this day.

The Swing bandleader, composer, and arranger went Missing in Action 
while on plane flight when performing for U.S. troops in France during
World War II.

staying at the top for six of 19 weeks, while peaking at number six on the
pop chart. It received the Cash Box Triple Crown Award in 1956.

The song became one of Little Richard’s best-known hits and is #56 on
Rolling Stones list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
