RACE CAR DRIVER ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT

JeffGordon24

Jeffrey Michael "Jeff" Gordon will be 44 years old on August 4.

(FOX) – The four-time NASCAR champ announced today that 2015 will be his
last season as a full-time driver. In fact, it could be the last year he drives at
all, but he’s not ready to say he’ll never race again,

Gordon said "[There’s] always the possibility I’ll compete in selected events,
although I currently have no plans to do that”.

The 43-year-old won four races in 2014 and finished the season in sixth
place. Teammates and competitors took to Twitter to voice their respect
for Gordon.
