Bruce Frederick Joseph Springsteen is 68 years old today.
Known simply as The Boss, rock legend Bruce Springsteen hit fame in 1975 with his critically acclaimed album Born to Run and again in 1984 with his rock anthem "Born in the U.S.A." He won his 20th career Grammy Award in 2009 when his song "Working on a Dream" took Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance. Springsteen felt deep alienation while attending high school and did not appear at hisgraduation. He failed his physical examinations after being drafted to fight in Vietnam and never served.
The Man from U.N.C.L.E. is a spy-fiction television series produced by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Television and first broadcast on NBC. It follows secret agents, played by Robert Vaughn (center and David McCallum (left), who work for a secret international counter-espionage and law- enforcement agency called U.N.C.L.E. The series premiered in 1964 and discontinued its run on January 15, 1968. It led the spy-fiction craze on television, and by 1966 there were nearly a dozen imitators.
