During its run, Skelton’s show received three Emmy Awards, for Skelton
as best comedian and the program as best comedy show during its initial
season, and an award for comedy writing in 1961. In 1959, Red also
received a Golden Globe for Best TV Show.

ACTOR BARRY WILLIAMS IS 61 TODAY


Barry Williams (born Barry William Blenkhorn in California).

Williams played the oldest son, Greg Brady on the popular ABC television
series, The Brady Bunch from September 26, 1969 to March 8, 1974. He
continued to appear in guest roles after the series was cancelled. Barry
Williams appeared in a 1967 episode of Dragnet for his television debut.

JOHNNY MATHIS IS 80 TODAY


John Royce "Johnny" Mathis was born in Texas.

Johnny Mathis has sold more than 350 million records and known for
his #1 hit "Chances Are." He won a Lifetime Achievement Award at the
2003 Grammy Awards. Mathis earned four athletic letters during high
school. His goal originally was to become a teacher, enrolling in San
Francisco State University.
