A WHOLE NEW BALL GAME FOR CHILD ACTOR
David Pollock in Bad News Bears
Former child actor David Pollock (50), who played one of the little league player’s,
Rudi Stein in the 1976 comedy film “Bad News Bears”, is taking a swing at politics
these days. He has entered into a Congressional race as a Democrat in California’s
26th Congressional district. Pollock’s political aspirations began in 1994 when he was asked to consider running for his local school board which he did successfully. He
was on the board for 15 years. David has said that he is “proud of getting away
from Hollywood while the getting was good”.
SONG MADE IT TO TOP ON THIS DAY IN 1972
“Brandy” topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart for one week and stayed
16 weeks among the best-sellers. It was their only million seller and
received a gold disc from the R.I.A.A. in 1972. Looking Glass still
performs several shows each year, typically with at least one show
in Michigan.

BOB COWSILL TURNED 62 TODAY
Robert "Bob" Cowsill is a musician and member of the musical group The
Cowsills. He is the third of the seven Cowsill children and is fraternal twins

still performs with Susan and Paul as The Cowsills as well as on his own
at local clubs and small venues in California.
"The Rain, the Park & Other Things" was a 1967 hit single for The
Cowsills, reaching No. 2 on the Billboard charts. It has sold some
