The Bob Newhart Show is a sitcom produced by MTM Enterprise and aired on CBS-
TV from September 16, 1972 to April 1, 1978 for a total 142 original episodes. Bob
Newhart plays psychologist and follows his adventures as he deals with both his
patients and fellow office workers. The show was filmed before a live audience.

SITCOM DEBUTED ON THIS DAY IN 1972
TV SERIES PREMIERED ON THIS DAY IN 1963
The Outer Limits aired on ABC-TV from September 16, 1963 to January 16, 1965
for a total, 49 episodes. The series is similar to the anthology show Twilight Zone,
but with more emphasis on science fiction. The series was revived in 1995 on
Showtime from 1995 to 1999, then again on the Sci-Fi Channel from 1999 until cancellation in 2002.
MOVIE RELEASED ON THIS DATE IN 1953
The Robe won Academy Awards for Best Art Direction-Set Decoration, Color,
and Best Costume Design, Color. It was nominated for Best Actor in a Leading
Role (Richard Burton), Best Cinematography, Color, and Best Picture. The film
also won the Golden Globe Award for Best Picture. The Robe was the first movie
filmed in the widescreen CinemaScope process.

B.B. King ("B.B." short for Blues Boy), has been ranked at No. 3 on Rolling
Stone’s list of “100 greatest guitarists of all time”. King has been inducted
into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
