DRUMMER MICHAEL HOSSACK IS DEAD AT 65

The Doobie Brothers manager, Bruce Cohn, said in a statement that Hossack died
of cancer on Monday at his home in Dubois, Wyo. 

Michael Hossack had been the band’s drummer from 1971 to 1973 and rejoined
in 1987. He stopped performing with group two years ago while fighting the
disease that eventually took his life.

Have Gun — Will Travel is a Western television series that aired on CBS
from September 14, 1957 to April 20, 1963. It was one of the few television
shows to spawn a successful radio version that debuted November 23, 1958
and starred John Dehner (below). 

There were 225 episodes of the TV series, many of which were written by
Gene Roddenberry. The star of the program was Richard Boone, who
portrayed the gentleman gunfighter named “Paladin”. Boone directed
19 of the shows episodes.
