Gene Vincent (born Vincent Eugene Craddock)
(February 11, 1935 – October 12, 1971)
Gene Vincent, best remembered for his 1956 hit "Be Bop A Lula",
died of a bleeding ulcer at the age of 36 while visiting his father in
in California. He was the first inductee into the Rockabilly Hall of
Fame when it was formed in 1997 and was inducted into the Rock
and Roll Hall of Fame the following year.
