seal the cornerstone for the present U.N. Headquarters building.
Special open-air General Assembly meeting held on the site of the U.N
Headquarters building in Manhattan, New York. President Harry S.
Truman was the principal speaker.

Jiles Perry "J. P." Richardson, Jr. (The Big Bopper)
(October 24, 1930 – February 3, 1959)
DJ, singer, and songwriter Richardson died in a plane crash in
Iowa, along with Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and pilot Roger
Peterson.
