MOVIE IS POPULAR CLASSIC CHRISTMAS


A Christmas Story is a 1983 Christmas comedy film based on the short stories
and semi-fictional anecdotes of author Jean Shepherd, based on his book In
God We Trust: All Others Pay Cash
. The film earned director Clark two Genie
Awards
. In 2012, it was selected for preservation in the National Film Registry
by the Library of Congress for being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically
significant".

Gene Rayburn (Born Eugene Jelyevich in Christopher, Illinois)  
(December 22, 1917 – November 29, 1999)

Radio and television personality Gene Rayburn is best known as the
host of various editions of the popular NBC/CBS television game show
Match Game (1962-1982). Before appearing in television, Rayburn
was a very successful actor and radio performer. He had a popular
morning drive time radio show on WNEW (now WBBR) in New York
City
. Gene Rayburn broke into television as the original program
announcer on Steve Allen‘s Tonight on NBC.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is a animated musical fantasy film produced by
Walt Disney Productions and released by RKO Radio Pictures. It premiered at the Carthay Circle Theatre in Hollywood, followed by a nationwide release on February 4,1938, and with international earnings of $8 million during its initial release briefly assumed the record of highest grossing sound film at the time.
