FIRST PUBLICATION ON THIS DAY IN 1969

CREEM,
"America’s Only Rock ‘n’ Roll Magazine", was a monthly publication
by Barry Kramer, a Detroit record store owner and founding editor Tony
Reay who was a clerk in the store. It suspended production in 1989 but
received a short-lived renaissance in the early 1990s as a glossy tabloid.
