Mihaly "Michu" Meszaros (Hungarian: Mészáros Mihály)
(September 20, 1939 – June 13, 2016)
FoxNews) – The man who played Alf, Michu Meszaros, has died. The 2-foot-9-
inch star was found unresponsive at his home more than a week ago and had
been in a coma. The actor wore the costume for four seasons of “Alf” in the
‘80s on NBC. Meszaros’ manager could not be reached for further comment.
The Budapest, Hungary, native started his career in 1973 as a member of the
Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. Meszaros was advertised as "the
smallest man on earth,” according to his Facebook fan page.
ALF was voiced by puppeteer/creator Paul Fusco.
The song "You’re My Everything" was recorded by The Temptations and was
first of three singles (and four songs) to be co-written for the group by Motown songwriter Roger Penzabene. It reached number three on the R&B chart and
number six on the Pop chart. The record became the third single from the
group’s 1967 album The Temptations with a Lot o’ Soul.

DALLAS (AP) – The U.S. flag flown on the stern of the boat that led the first
American troops onto Utah Beach on D-Day was sold today for $514,000 at
auction in Texas.
Heritage Auctions spokesman Noah Fleisher says the 48-star flag from the
guide boat was sold during a live auction in Dallas. He had no immediate
information on the buyer.
The pre-sale estimate for the flag was $100,000. The banner has one bullet
hole, blamed on a German machine gun, according to the Dallas-based
auction house.
