Kevin Michael Costner was born in Lynwood, California.
Actor Kevin Costner is best known for films that include Field of
Dreams (1989), The Untouchables (1957) and Bull Durham
(1988). He directed, produced and starred in the 1990 classic
Dances with Wolves, which earned him two Academy Awards for
Best Director and Best Picture. He claims he was inspired by the
1962 film How the West Was Won after seeing it when he was
seven. He began performing with the band Modern West in 2007
