Barbara Hale (April 18, 1922 – January 26, 2017)

(AP) – Barbara Hale, a movie actress who found her most
famous role on television as steadfast secretary Della
Street in the long-running CBS series "Perry Mason" 
(1957 – 1966) has died.

Hale was surrounded by family when she died Thursday
at her Los Angeles area home, said Jaqueline Stander,
an agent for Hale’s son, actor William Katt ("The Greatest
American Hero," ”Carrie").

"She was gracious and kind and silly and always fun to be
with," Katt posted on his Facebook page Thursday, calling
Hale a wonderful actress and a "treasure as a friend and
mother." Hale reportedly died of complications from chronic
obstructive pulmonary disease.

Linda Denise Blair was born in St. Louis, Missouri.

Actress Linda Blair played the demon possessed Regan in The
Exorcist (1973). The role earned her a Golden Globe Award for
Best Supporting Actress and an Academy Award nomination. In
1977, she reprised her role in Exorcist II: The Heretic.

She became a child model at age six. In 1970, at the age of ten,
she made her big screen debut in The Way We Live Now.

Virginia Elizabeth "Geena" Davis was born in Wareham, MA.

Actress Geena Davis played roles in Thelma & Louise (1991), Beetlejuice
(1988), and The Fly (1986). She was nominated for a Golden Globe Award
for her portrayal of Dottie Hinson in A League of Their Own (1991) and her
role as Muriel Pritchett in the 1988 drama The Accidental Tourist earned
her an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. She debuted in the
1982 film, Tootsie.

Victoria (Vicki Ree) Principal was born in Fukuoka, Japan.

Television actress Victoria Principal played Pamela Ewing on the CBS 
soap opera Dallas, which ran from 1987 to 1991 and appeared in the
1974 film Earthquake.

Actress Mary Tyler Moore played Laura Petrie on The Dick Van
Dyke Show from 1961 to 1966 on CBS-TV. She also appeared
in Thoroughly Modern Millie in 1967. Moore was given her first
acting role as a dancing elf named Happy Hotpoint.
