Originally part of the United States Army, the United States Air Force was
formed as a separate branch of the military on 18 September 1947 under
the National Security Act of 1947. It is the most recent branch of the U.S.
military to be formed.
US Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron “Thunderbirds”
On 6 December 2013 the “Thunderbirds” announced their 2014 schedule and
the resumption of their appearances. Budget cuts in 2013 caused the team to
cease performances.
Patsy Cline (Born Virginia Patterson Hensley in Winchester, Virginia)
(September 8, 1932 – March 5, 1963)
Patsy Cline was one of the most influential, successful and acclaimed female
vocalists of the 20th century. She died in a multiple fatality crash of her private
plane at the age of 30.
According to her 1973 Country Music Hall of Fame plaque, "Her heritage of
timeless recordings is testimony to her artistic capacity."
