Actor Foster Brooks was a drunk on TV, but straight as an
arrow in real life. He received an Emmy nomination in 1974
for his portrayal of the lovable lush comedian on The Dean
Martin Show (NBC). He started his career in radio working
as a staff announcer in his home town of Louisville, Kentucky.
Donald Jay "Don" Rickles was born in New York.
Legendary insult comedian Don Rickles studied at the American Academy
of Dramatic Arts and began performing stand up comedy in hotels in the
Catskill Mountains in New York after becoming frustrated from the lack of
work he was getting as an actor.
