BIRDS RETURN TO MCMINNVILLE AIR SHOW
The Thunderbirds, a demonstration squadron of the United
States Air Force, are assigned to the 57th Wing, and are
based at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. Created 71 years
ago in 1953, the USAF Thunderbirds are the third-oldest
formal flying aerobatic team (under the same name) in the
world.

MCMINNVILLE, Ore. (KATU) — The Oregon International Air Show
is back in McMinnville for the Labor Day weekend.
It marks the return of the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds.
The high-flying action runs Saturday through Monday at the
McMinnville Airport.
Gates open at 9 a.m. and the show starts around noon.
AREA WHERE ‘JESUS WALKED’ IS LOCATED
Located at Mount Hotzvim in Jerusalem, a large quarry has been
under excavation, exposing more information on the Second
Temple time period when Jesus walked the Holy Land.
Archaeologists with the Israel Antiquities Authority excavated
the area that covers about 3,500 square meters, forming part
of a large field of quarries, according to a press release from
the Israel Antiquities Authority.
They have uncovered dozens of building stones of various
sizes, different paths and tools.
A stone tool identified with the Jewish population in the
Second Temple was discovered in the quarry located in Jerusalem.
FORMER TALK SHOW HOST HAS DIED AT 88
Phillip John Donahue (December 21, 1935 – August 18, 2024)
WASHINGTON (TND) — The host and creator of the"The Phil
Donahue Show" died Sunday after a lengthy illness.
According to a family statement, the television pioneer died
at his home on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
ANCIENT MASTODON SKULL UNEARTHED
Archaeologists in Iowa have unearthed an ancient mastodon
skull in pristine condition, which they hope will provide clues
about human interaction with the ancient animal.
The bones were excavated earlier this month from a creek bank
in Wayne, taking nearly two weeks to complete.
The eroding site was first brought to the attention of Office of
the State Archaeologist, Iowa in 2022.
