Clarissa Harlowe Barton (December 25, 1821 – April 12, 1912)

Clara Barton was an American nurse who founded the American
Red Cross. She was a hospital nurse in the American Civil War,
a teacher, and a patent clerk. Since nursing education was not
then very formalized and she did not attend nursing school, she
provided self-taught nursing care. Barton is noteworthy for
doing humanitarian work and civil rights advocacy at a time
before women had the right to vote. She was inducted into the
National Women’s Hall of Fame in 1973.

McKee Foods Corporation is a privately held and family-owned
American snack food and granola manufacturer headquartered
in Collegedale, Tennessee.The corporation is the maker of
Drake’s Cakes, Fieldstone Bakery snacks and cereal, Little
Debbie snacks, and Sunbelt Bakery granola and cereal.The
company also formerly operated Heartland Brands.

The company was founded during the Great Depression in
the 1930’s by Oather "O.D." McKee and Ruth McKee (below).

Oather started out selling 5¢ snack cakes from the back of

Timothy Gregg Bachman (August 1, 1951 – April 28, 2023)

Tim Bachman, a founding guitarist of Bachman-Turner Overdrive
has died at the age of 71 after battling cancer.      

Tim’s death was confirmed by his brother Randy Bachman and
his son via social media.
