Greyhound Lines, Inc., usually shortened to Greyhound, is an
intercity bus common carrier serving over 3,800 destinations
across North America. The company’s first route began in
Hibbing, Minnesota in 1914, and the company adopted the
Greyhound name in 1929.

Singer-songwriter Jerry Lee Lewis has been described as a pioneer of
rockabilly and ‘’rock & roll’s first great wild man.”
Lewis has a dozen gold records in both rock and country. He has won
several Grammy awards, including a Lifetime Achievement Award and
was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986.
On February 28, 2019, Lewis suffered a minor stroke in Memphis. He is
expected to fully recover, but had to cancel some appearances.
Brigitte Anne-Marie Bardot was born in Paris, France
Known simply as "B.B.", Bardot was one of the best-known sex symbols
of the 1950s and 1960s. She first achieved fame in the 1957 film And God
Created Woman.
Before she retired in 1973, Bardot appeared in the 1963 film Le Mépris
and in the 1965 film Viva Maria!.

(FoxNews) – The remains of an ancient Roman fort dating back nearly 2,000
years have been unearthed underneath a bus station in southern England.
The fort, located in Exeter, is a “very important and completely unexpected”
find, according to city officials, who are working on redeveloping the area.
“This is a very important, and completely unexpected, discovery, in an area
that has been heavily changed by previous post war redevelopment," Exeter
City Council member Andrew Pye said in a statement. "Along with other
recent work in Exeter, it demonstrates just how much of the city’s history
can still survive in unlikely places, despite damage caused by bombing
and modern concrete foundations."
Pottery fragments were dug up at the site as builders and archaeologists swept the area. Coins and fine tableware
were also found at the Devon site
John Adams Jr. (October 30, 1735 – July 4, 1826)
On September 27, 1779, the Continental Congress appoints John Adams to
travel to France as minister plenipotentiary in charge of negotiating treaties
of peace and commerce with Great Britain during the Revolutionary War.
Adams had traveled to Paris in 1778 to negotiate an alliance with France,
but had been unceremoniously dismissed when Congress chose Benjamin
Franklin as sole commissioner. Soon after returning to Massachusetts in
mid-1779, Adams was elected as a delegate to the state convention to draw
up a new constitution; he was involved in these duties when he learned of
his new diplomatic commission.
