COUNTRY SINGER RECEIVES MORE AWARDS

Of Course, Dolly Parton Has a Crazy Productive Morning Routine

(WCYB) — Country music legend Dolly Parton has three new
awards to add to her lengthy list.

Parton, 77, was awarded with three new Guinness World
Records on Wednesday. Here are the new awards she
received:

  • Longest span of No. 1 hits on the US Top Country Albums
    chart (female)
  • Most studio albums released by a female country singer
  • Most Top 10 entries on the US Top Country Albums chart
    (female)

Parton already had won seven Guinness World Records
previously. Those awards are:

  • Most decades with a Top 20 hit on the US Hot Country
    Songs chart
  • Most No.1 hits on the US Hot Country Songs chart by
    a female artist
  • Most decades on the US Hot Country Songs chart
    (female)
  • Most hits on the US Hot Country Songs chart by a
    female artist
  • Longest span of No.1 hits on the US Hot Country Songs
    chart
  • First country singer to be nominated for the EGOT
  • Most Grammy nominations for a female country artist

Parton was quoted as saying…“I am humbled every time
I receive a new Guinness World Record title.”

"Sgt. Pepper" by the Beatles

On this day in history, June 1, 1967, the Beatles released "Sgt.
Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band," their 8th album — which
became the soundtrack to the "Summer of Love," according
to the official website of the Beatles.

With its 13 songs, the album was recorded in over 400 hours
during a 129-day period.

On a return airplane flight to London in November 1966, Paul
McCartney thought of the idea for this album.

(November 26, 1939 – May 24, 2023)

Tina Turner, known as the Queen of Rock n’ Roll, has died
after a long illness.

The singer, who achieved global fame with a string of soulful
hits including River Deep – Mountain High, The Best and What’s
Love Got To Do With It, triumphed over early adversity and
also overcame domestic abuse, to become one of the world’s most
loved singers.

She died at her home in Küsnacht near Zurich, Switzerland.
