Marconi was an Italian inventor and electrical engineer,
known for his pioneering work on long-distance radio
transmission, development of Marconi’s law, and a
radio telegraph system. He is credited as the inventor
of radio, and he shared the 1909 Nobel Prize in Physics
with Karl Ferdinand Braun "in recognition of their
contributions to the development of wireless telegraphy".

KFI is an AM radio station in Los Angeles, California, owned and operated by iHeartMedia. It received its license to operate on March 31, 1922 and began operating on April 16, 1922, and after a succession of power increases,
became one of the United States’ first high-powered, clear-channel stations
operating today with 50,000 watts and airs a talk radio format with news
updates.
