I have a silver platter that is engraved: First Prize, Governmental Departments, Portland Rose Festival Parade, June 7, 1940. It was my great aunt’s and she was a very involved with the WPA and the building of Timberline Lodge. I wonder what the float looked like? Perhaps it’s the Oregon Trail; as shone above??
