Frances Bay was a U.S.-based Canadian character actress, best-known
for playing quirky, elderly women on film and television. She began her
acting career in her mid-50s.

MILITARY BRANCH FORMED ON THIS DAY IN 1947

                   

The United States Air Force (USAF) is the aerial warfare service branch of
the United Armed Forces. It was Initially part of the United States Army, the
USAF was formed as a separate branch of the military on September 18,
1947 under the National Security Act of 1947. It is the most recent branch
of the U.S. military to be formed, as well as the world’s most technologically
sophisticated air force.

i dream of jeannie

I Dream of Jeannie is a sitcom with a fantasy premise. The show starred Barbara
Eden as a 2,000-year old genie, and Larry Hagman as an astronaut who becomes
her master and eventually her husband. The series was produced by Screen Gems
and ran on NBC-TV from September 18, 1965 to May 26, 1970 for a total of 139
episodes. The first season has 30 episodes filmed in black and white.
