The Beatles is a animated television series featuring the adventures of the
popular rock band of the same name. It ran on ABC from Saturday September
25, 1965 and ended on September 7, 1969 for a total of 39 episodes. The
series was a historical milestone as the first weekly television series to
feature animated versions of real, living people.

 

Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C. originally aired on CBS television from Friday September
25, 1964, to May 2, 1969 for a total of 150 episodes. The sitcom was a spinoff
of The Andy Griffith Show, and the pilot was aired as the finale of the fourth
season the The Andy Griffith Show on May 19,1964.

Christopher D’Olier Reeve was an American actor, film director, producer,
screenwriter and author. He achieved stardom for his acting achievements,
including his notable motion picture portrayal of the the superhero Superman
(1978, 1980, 1983, and 1987). On May 27, 1995, Reeve became a quadriplegic
after being thrown from a horse while participating in an equestrian competition
in Virginia. He required a wheelchair and breathing apparatus for the rest of his
life. He lobbied on behalf of people with spinal cord injuries, and for human
embryonic stem cell research afterward. He founded the Christopher Reeve
Foundation and co-founded the Reeve-Irvine Research Center.

network from Wednesday September 24, 1969 to September 6, 1976. The
lives of both doctors and patients at a fictitious university hospital in Los
Angeles were showcased each week.
