“D-STREET” CO-FOUNDER DIES AT 92

Adoline E. Ceciliani (Jan. 17, 1921 – Jan. 5, 2014)
Adoline and her husband, Charles Carl Ceciliani who passed away in 1995,
built and operated Division Street Corral (“D-Street”) on Portland’s eastside
near 174th and Division. The popular dance hall, now a housing development,
had one of the largest dance floors in the country until 1979. Some of the live
music artists included Johnny Cash, Buck Owens, Roy Orbison, and Portland’s
own Heck Harper along with The Ventures and Paul Revere and the Raiders.
In 2006, Adoline sold the corral and moved out of the neighborhood she called
home for 63 years.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 18 at Lincoln Memorial.

Dunaway won an Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in the
1976 film Network. She was previously nominated for Bonnie and Clyde (1967),
and Chinatown (1974). She has starred in numerous other films, including The
The Thomas Crown Affair (1968), Little Big Man (1970), and The Towering
Inferno (1974),
