. In 2004, it finished at #21 on AFI’s 100 Years..

Arthur Morton Godfrey (August 31, 1903 – March 16, 1983)

"Arthur Godfrey Time" was a Monday-Friday show that featured Godfrey’s
monologues, interviews with various stars, music from his own in-house
combo and regular vocalists. It remained a late morning staple on the
CBS Radio Network schedule until 1972.

Bobby Vee (born Robert Thomas Velline in Fargo, North Dakota)

Bobby Vee scored a #1 hit single with "Take Good Care of My Baby" in
1961. He recorded his first single, "Suzie Baby," at age sixteen. He has
had thirty-eight Billboard Hot 100 chart hits.

Bobby and his band had to step in on February 3, 1959, known as The
Day the Music Died, and perform at the show Buddy Holly was scheduled
to play.
