Nat King Cole (Nathaniel Adams Coles
(March 17, 1919 – February 15, 1965)


After listening to Earl Hines, Nat was inspired to call
himself Nat King. One of his first groups was called
the Nat Cole Swingers. He was one of the first African
Americans to have his own TV show when he became
host on The Nat King Cole Show in 1956 on NBC.

Recorded by Nat King Cole on December 28, 1956. It was 
released by Capitol Records on the LP Love Is the Thing.

FRANK SINATRA, JR HAS DIED AT 72


Frank Sinatra, Jr (Francis Wayne Sinatra)
(January 10, 1944 – March 16, 2016)

 

The Sinatra family said in a statement to The Associated Press that Frank Junior
died unexpectedly of cardiac arrest while on tour in Daytona Beach, Florida.

PRESIDENT BORN ON THIS DAY IN 1751


James Madison, Jr. (March 16, 1751 – June 28, 1836)  

James Madison was the father of the Constitution and fourth president
of the United States who notably authored the United States Bill of
Rights. When Madison left office in 1817, he retired to Montpelier, his 
tobacco plantation in Orange County, Virginia, not far from Jefferson’s
Monticello. He was 65 years old.
