Howard Hughes with his record-setting Northrop Gamma

Howard Hughes set a transcontinental air record. He flew from Los Angeles,
California to Newark Airport in New Jersey. The West to East flight took 7 
hours, 28 minutes and 25 seconds to complete.

John William "Johnny" Carson (October 23, 1925 – January 23, 2005)

Carson received six Emmy Awards, the Governor’s Award, and a 1985
Peabody Award. He was inducted into the Television Academy Hall of
