Vic Damone (June 12, 1928 – February 11, 2018)

(Fox News) – Legendary crooner Vic Damone passed away
on Sunday at the age of 89. He was born Vito Rocco Farinola
in
Brooklyn, New York.

Damone entered the talent search on Arthur Godfrey’s Talent
Scouts
and won in April 1947. This led to his becoming a regular
on Godfrey’s show. He met
Milton Berle at the studio and Berle
got him work at two night clubs. By mid-1947, Damone had
signed a contract with

(Fox News)  – Charles Manson, the hippie cult leader who became the hypnotic-
eyed face of evil across America after orchestrating the gruesome murders of
pregnant actress Sharon Tate and six others in Los Angeles during the summer
of 1969, died Sunday after nearly a half-century in prison.

SKETCH DRAWS BIG BUCKS AT AUCTION


A never-before-seen sketch by Italian master Leonardo da Vinci.
The drawing, above, depicts Saint Sebastian.

(FOXNEWS) – A rare drawing by Leonardo da Vinci, valued at almost $16
million, has been discovered by a French auction house.

Paris-based auction house Tajan announced the discovery of “The Martyred
Saint Sebastian” drawing Monday. This is the first work by da Vinci to be
discovered in over 15 years, according to Tajan, which has valued the
drawing at $15.8 million.

The New York Times reports the sketch is one of 14 unframed drawings
brought into the auction house in March by a retired doctor. The drawings
had been collected by the man’s father.
