Apollo 17 was the final mission of the United States‘ Apollo lunar landing program,
and was the sixth landing of humans on the Moon. I was launched with a three-
member crew consisting of Commander Eugene Cernan, Command Module Pilot
Ronald Evans, and Lunar Module Pilot Harrison Schmitt,

GEMINI 7 LAUNCHED ON THIS DAY IN 1965
Crew members James Lovell and Frank Borman
Gemini 7 was the 4th manned Gemini flight with Air Force Lt. Col. Frank Borman
and Navy Comdr. James A. Lovell on board. They spent nearly 14 days in space
making a total of 206 orbits, and were joined by the Gemini-6A flight which then
performed the first rendezvous maneuver of manned spacecraft.
