RAYMOND BURR ~ (MAY 21, 1917-SEP. 12, 1993)
Raymond Burr won two Emmy Awards in 1959 and 1961 for the role of Perry
Mason (above) which he played for nine seasons between 1957 and 1966 on
CBS-TV. His second hit series, Ironside (1957 –1975 on NBC-TV), earned him
six Emmy Award nominations, and two Golden Globe nominations.

LINDBERGH LANDING ON THIS DATE IN 1927
On the evening of May 21, 1927, 33 hours, 30 minutes later, Charles
Lindbergh had crossed the coast of France, followed the Seine River
to Paris and touched down at Le Bourget Field where a waiting crowd
of 100,000 rushed the plane. He had achieved the first solo non-stop transatlantic flight, New York to Paris.
