GAME SHOW DEBUTED ON THIS DAY IN 1952

The original CBS-TV version of I’ve Got a Secret premiered on June 19, 1952 and
ran until April 3, 1967. This version began broadcasting in black and white and
switched to a color format in 1966. The show was originally hosted by radio and television personality Garry Moore.

RICK DUCOMMUN HAS DIED AT 62

The Canadian born actor/comedian Ducommun died on June 12 at a Vancouver hospital after suffering from complications due to diabetes. 

Fellow Canadian Alan Thicke brought Ducommun to Hollywood after seeing
him on a children’s show. Ducommun also appeared in Die Hard,Groundhog
Day
and Scream.

Peter Ducommun told The Associated Press that his brother stepped away
from showbiz after having a family.

rockabilly singer Chase Webster, also with Dot Records. It was
the title track from one of Boone’s better-selling albums.

SPECIAL STAMP ISSUED ON THIS DAY IN 1927


The U.S. Post Office offered a special 10-cent postage stamp for sale. It
depicted Charles Lindbergh’s "Spirit of St. Louis." The first of 15 million
U.S. air mail stamps went on sale in St. Louis, Detroit, Washington and Lindbergh’s boyhood hometown of Little Falls, Minnesota.
