FORMER ASTRONAUT IS DEAD AT 85

"Ed" Mitchell (September 17, 1930 – February 4, 2016)

MIAMI (AP) — Apollo 14 astronaut Edgar Mitchell, who became the sixth
man on the moon when he and Alan Shepard helped NASA recover from
Apollo 13’s “successful failure”, has died in Florida.

His his daughter, Kimberly Mitchell, said he died Thursday night at a West
Palm Beach hospice after a short illness. Mitchell’s passing coincides with
the 45th anniversary of the Apollo 14 mission from Jan. 31-Feb. 9, 1971.

Peter Pan is a animated fantasyadventure film produced by Walt Disney
and based on the play Peter Pan, or The Boy Who Wouldn’t Grow Up by
J. M. Barrie. It is the 14th film in the Walt Disney Animated Classics series 
and was originally released by RKO Radio Pictures. Peter Pan is the final
Disney animated feature released through RKO before Walt Disney’s

Henry Louis "Hank" Aaron is 82 today.

The Sporting News ranked the "Hammer" fifth on its "100 Greatest Baseball
Players" list. After learning to play by hitting bottle caps with sticks he found
in the street, Aaron led his high school team to the Mobile Negro High School
Championship two consecutive years.
