BEATLES BEAK UP ANNOUNCED ON THIS DAY

BEATLES MAGAZINE: PAUL ANNOUNCED THE BREAKUP OF THE BEATLES ON THIS DAY IN 1970

(FOXNEWS) – The short but winding road that made the Beatles
the greatest  recording act and
pop-culture sensation of all time
ended publicly on this day in history, April 10, 1970. 

Paul McCartney announced a "break with the Beatles" in press
materials that accompanied the scheduled release of his first
solo album a week later (below).

His announcement confirmed months of rumors about the
band’s dissolution.

"Personal differences, business differences, musical differences,
but most of all because I have a better time with my family,"
McCartney said in the statement.

Academy Award-nominated actor Michael Lerner
died Saturday.

His nephew, Sam Lerner, who starred on "The
Goldbergs,"
announced his death in an Instagram
post shared Sunday afternoon.

In addition to his acting career, Lerner was a collector
of rare books, an aficionado of
Cuban cigars, and—
by his own account—a very good
poker player.

LAST NAZI TRIAL PROSECUTOR HAS DIED

Benjamin Berell Ferencz (March 11, 1920 – April 7, 2023)

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Ben Ferencz, the last living
prosecutor from the Nuremberg trials, who tried Nazis for
genocidal war crimes and was among the first outside
witnesses to document the atrocities of Nazi labor and
concentration camps, has died. He had just turned 103
in March.

Ferencz died Friday evening in Boynton Beach, Florida,
according to St. John’s University law professor John
Barrett, who runs a blog about the Nuremberg trials. The
death also was confirmed by the U.S. Holocaust Museum
in Washington.

"Today the world lost a leader in the quest for justice for
victims of genocide and related crimes," the museum
tweeted.

NEW ‘’STAR WARS’’ FILMS JUST ANNOUNCED

3 new 'Star Wars' movies announced, including Rey's return photo 1

(AP) – For "Star Wars" lovers, new entertainment is a little less
far, far away — Lucasfilm announced
three new live-action
films
in the franchise Friday.

The news, which includes the return of Daisy Ridley as Rey in
one of the films, was revealed at Star Wars Celebration Europe
2023 in London by Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy and
also on the Star Wars website. Directing the movies will be
James Mangold, Dave Filoni and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.
