"Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar" debuted on CBS Radio as a action packed half-hour detective series on Friday, February 11, 1949. It featured Charles Russell in the
title role as freelance insurance investigator Johnny Dollar. Through the following
years, several actors played the part – including Edmond O’Brien, John Lund,
and Bob Bailey. It aired until September 30, 1962 with a one year hiatus from
1954-1955. The show was sponsored by Wrigley’s Gum.
